Tuition and funding
Bond exchange students continue to pay their tuition fees to Bond. This means that if you study four subjects at your exchange institution then you will pay for four subjects worth of tuition to Bond. Any tuition fees at the exchange institution will be waived.
Students will be responsible for researching and paying all fees for accommodation, health insurance, visas, travel and other living expenses.
To support the costs associated with overseas travel and study, Bond International has a variety of options available to students to fund their Exchange program. Grants are funded by the Bond International Office, the Australian Government, and other generous donors and are outlined below.

Bond University Exchange Grant
Students who are accepted into the Exchange program are eligible to apply for an Exchange grant of $2,000* AUD. This grant is funded by the Bond International Office and is intended to assist students with additional expenditure associated with overseas travel.
* NB The Bond University Exchange Grant has several conditions the student needs to meet.
* NB Grant funds are awarded at the discretion of the University and are subject to change without notice.
* NB Students are not eligible to receive multiple grants at the same time. -
Cowin Scholarship Program
Each year, a group of Bond University undergraduate exchange students are selected for the Cowin Scholarship to study for a semester at Western University, considered to be Canada's most beautiful university. This scholarship is worth $7,500* AUD. The Cowin Scholarship Program is made possible thanks to the generous donation of Western Alumnus and former Chancellor, Mr Jack Cowin.
* NB Students are not eligible to receive multiple grants at the same time.

New Colombo Plan Scholarship Program
The New Colombo Plan is a signature initiative of the Australian Government which aims to lift knowledge of the Indo Pacific in Australia by supporting Australian undergraduates to study and undertake internships in the region.
Scholarship must be conducted only in the following host locations:
Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, China, Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, French Polynesia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kiribati, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Marshall Islands, Mongolia, Nauru, Nepal, New Caledonia, Niue, Pakistan, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Republic of Korea, Samoa, Singapore, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, and Vietnam.The scholarship is worth up to $87,000* AUD and includes:
- tuition fees (conditions and limits apply)
- language training tuition fees (limits apply)
- a travel allowance
- an establishment allowance
- a Scholarship allowance (monthly stipend)
- Mental health allowance
- health and travel insurance for the duration of their overseas Scholarship Program
- a dedicated Case Manager for the duration of their Scholarship Program
- Private sector sponsorship (case by case)
- New Colombo Plan Fellows (the top-ranked Scholar in each location and top-ranked Indigenous Scholar) will receive an additional benefit.

* NB Successful applicants may not commence another Australian Government-funded off-shore Scholarship Program or mobility grant (including a New Colombo Plan Mobility Program grant) while undertaking their New Colombo Plan Scholarship Program.
* NB Students MUST be Australian Citizens to receive government funding.
* NB Students are not eligible to receive multiple grants at the same time. -
Destination Australia Cheung Kong Exchange Program
The Destination Australia Cheung Kong Exchange Program is a joint funding initiative of the Australian Government and the Cheung Kong Group.
The Program supports Australian universities to offer short-term mobility opportunities for outgoing Australian students and incoming Asian students between Australia and the following Asian countries: Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, China (including Hong Kong), India, Indonesia, Japan, Republic of Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Republic of the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
Approximately 180 students will be supported through the Program each year.
Funding is worth up to $5,900* AUD.
Experiences must be between two weeks and one semester in duration.
* NB Availability and grant amount varies from year to year.
* NB Students MUST be Australian Citizens to receive government funding. Permanent Residents may be eligible for some forms of funding. The decision of who will receive this funding is at the discretion of the Bond University Senior Management.
* NB Students are not eligible to receive multiple grants at the same time.
