We can't wait to welcome you to our beautiful campus on the Gold Coast in Australia. Our borders are open for all student visa holders, so be sure to apply for your visa as soon as possible and book your travel to Australia to begin your journey. You do not need to be vaccinated against COVID-19 to enter into Australia.Â
We are thrilled to be able to welcome all of our students back to our vibrant campus now that face-to-face learning has resumed. From January 2023, all teaching (where the class delivery mode is internal)Â will return to face-to-face delivery.

Some services will continue to be offered virtually where possible, however students are encouraged to come to campus unless unwell. Services that will still be available remotely include consultations or appointments with the Academic Skills Centre, Career Development Centre, Nyombil Centre, Medical Centre (telehealth and online counselling), our student wellbeing advisors, and the Accessibility & Inclusion department. All of the listed areas will also be available face to face.
If you are unwell, we encourage you to stay at home and seek medical advice or treatment before returning to campus. Please consider the safety of your fellow students and Bond community before visiting campus while sick. Classes will continue to be recorded via Collaborate and so, may be accessed virtually on the occasion you cannot attend in person due to illness or other extenuating circumstances.
Once you are admitted into your program, you will be able to access Collaborate through your iLearn Student Portal – you don’t need to download it. If logging on from home, you will join sessions directly from a web link provided by your lecturer, or from your subject page in iLearn. However, please note that it is recommended to attend class in person whenever possible.
Bond’s Academic Skills Centre offers a range of services including free one-on-one help in organising your assignments, academic writing style, referencing, English and Maths. You can book an online appointment with the Academic Skills Centre online via your iLearn student account. Alternatively, you can book by emailing [email protected].
Medical and counselling services provided by Bond University will continue to be available on a bulk-billing basis for eligible students and where possible has been expanded to allow remote (telehealth) consultations. Email [email protected] to book an appointment.Â
The census date is four weeks after the semester starts.
Australia is an inclusive and welcoming country, and as of January 2022, has no border or quarantine restrictions in place for fully vaccinated student visa holders. We look forward to seeing you here on campus, whether you are a returning student or new to Australia.Â
The Gold Coast is home to 32,000 international students from more than 130 countries, and has earned a reputation as Australia’s favourite classroom for international students. Bond University is also renowned for its global cohort and perspective, almost 50 per cent of students are international, hailing from more than 90 countries.
Bond University’s campus is open and ready to welcome you as soon as you are able to safely travel. As of 6 July, 2022, there are minimal restrictions for entering Australia. If you are an eligible student visa holder, you no longer require an exemption to travel to Australia, and there are no vaccination requirements, COVID-19 testing requirements, or proof of vaccination required.Â
It is a requirement for all students to study on campus and complete their classes face-to-face from January 2023. We look forward to welcoming you to Bond University to commence your studies soon!
Students currently outside of Australia are recommended to submit their visa application as soon as they have the required supporting documentation, for example, their health check, English language testing, and evidence of financial capacity.
All students are required to have a student visa to enter Australia. If you are currently in Australia, you must not allow your student visa to lapse. You should submit your visa application to the Department of Home Affairs immediately upon confirming you will be studying at Bond University.Â
You will be able to enter Australia for future semesters on your original visa that was granted as long as the visa remains valid. We recommend that you check your visa is valid at least a month before travelling. If you have a COE for a later start, your visa is likely to remain valid, but as always, check with Australian immigration directly. Before your visa expiry date, you may need to apply for a new student visa to ensure you have a valid visa to complete your studies and graduate.

Bond University is located in Robina, a friendly and central suburb within close proximity of beaches, parks, shopping centres and restaurants. As a result, many students choose to live off campus to experience all that life on the Gold Coast has to offer. There are many affordable suburbs close to Bond or within short driving distance, with students choosing to share with friends or housemates, live by themselves, or participate in homestay to settle in.Â
Bond also offers on-campus student housing with a limited number of places available. Student housing is extremely popular and in high demand, so it's important to apply as soon as you are able if this is your preferred option.Â
We recognise that some students may not be able to travel to campus for the semester. If a student cannot take up their place in on-campus housing, their room fee and balance of their dining plan will be refunded.

The University will work with you to put in place a plan to support your studies. If you have COVID-19, you must inform the University by emailing CV Support. Students who knowingly attend campus during a period when they are required to self-isolate will be in breach of the University's regulations.
If you are staying in on-campus accommodation and are required to isolate, support will be provided, including food services to your room while you are in isolation, telehealth medical services, welfare support and Rapid Antigen Testing (if needed). Please email CV Support for more information.Â
