Bond’s Master of Building Information Modelling and Integrated Project Delivery commences with eight micro-credentialed modules covering topics confirmed as essential to success in the field by industry professionals. Four additional subjects are then reinforced by an intensive and highly practical four-subject capstone project to complete the program.

In 2020 we are offering a number of partial tuition fee 30th Anniversary Postgraduate Scholarships to high achieving domestic students applying to commence postgraduate studies at Bond University in either the May or September semester.

In your first semester, you will not only cover 3D BIM, 4D BIM (scheduling) and 5D BIM (cost) – all essential knowledge areas for a successful career in the management of Building Information Modelling - but also Intellectual Property Rights in the BIM environment, management of design for energy efficiency, consideration during design of post-completion facilities management, and use of BIM in integration with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) – confirmed by industry leaders as knowledge areas in demand.
You will next gain advanced knowledge of project process engineering and change, continuous process improvement, advanced Lean Construction and principles of advanced integrated project delivery, and these will all be reinforced with an end-of-second-trimester capstone project. The capstone is continued at the commencement of your final semester, further enhancing and reinforcing all knowledge gained thus far, and the course concludes with interactive subjects covering BIM and IPD aspects of maximising project value using off-site fabrication and managing complexity and minimising waste. Industry professionals have confirmed the relevance of this program content to the current and anticipated future of construction generally, and that means you will be qualified to take advantage of opportunities arising from the rapidly increasing demand for BIM and IPD managed projects, especially in the Government sector.

This cutting edge program has been designed in strong collaboration with industry to assist construction and other built environment professionals to upskill in order to comply with the stringent practice requirements being demanded by government and knowledgeable private sector clients regarding the use of Building Information Modelling (BIM), Lean Construction Practice (Lean) and Integrated Project delivery (IPD) in optimised construction project delivery. The Master of Building Information Modelling and Integrated Project Delivery program prepares students for advanced involvement as relevant BIM/Lean/IPD Managers in their work environment, for the benefit of projects and their stakeholders. The program is delivered in intensive mode and has the objective of preparing industry professionals to serve as BIM/Lean/IPD managers. While the course does cover various BIM-related technologies, it does not prepare students to be specialist technicians in the niche areas of the technologies covered by the curriculum. The program includes two capstone subjects (total of 40 credit points) in which students work in teams on a realistic BIM/Lean/IPD project that requires application, analysis and synthesis of complex ‘project’ data. The program components align with the BIM Framework of buildingSMART Australasia, the open standards of buildingSMART International, the principles espoused by the Lean Construction Institutes of Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States of America, and internationally recognised principles of IPD. The below fees are based on the average per semester cost, fees may vary based on which subjects are selected and the number of subjects enrolled in for each semester.
- 2020 fees: $15,210 per semester (based on 4 subjects per semester)
- 2021 fees: $15,750 per semester (based on 4 subjects per semester)
When considering the fees associated with your studies, keep in mind that Bond’s accelerated schedule means you can finish your degree sooner and be out in the workforce up to a year earlier than if you went to another university.
This time saving also represents a substantial reduction in accommodation and living costs, plus a full year of extra earnings.

Credit for prior study
Subject credits may be awarded for previous studies. To apply for credits, you will need to submit academic transcripts including detailed subject outlines/course descriptions for each relevant subject and/or certified copies of testamurs to the Office of Future Students.
