The Student Opportunity Fund

Smooth the path to gaining valuable industry experience by directing your 2024 Chancellor’s Circle donation to the Student Opportunity Fund.

The Student Opportunity Fund supports Bondies partaking in local, regional, and remote internships and placements across Australia and the world. Through these opportunities, students will equip themselves to traverse the competitive job market, fostering independence, forming industry connections, and learning on-the-job knowledge that can’t be imparted in the classroom.

The Fund provides living bursaries to alleviate the pressure of paying bills and finding paid work so that students can focus on what matters most – gaining important skills and experiencing a new environment with unique challenges. The Student Opportunity Fund is available to students either as individuals or as part of a club, and is focused on ‘out of the classroom’ activities that enhance the overall Bond University experience.

"With the support of Bond’s Student Opportunity Fund, I was able to spend two weeks with the fantastic doctors, paramedics, nurses, pilots, aircrew, and support staff of the Aeromedical Operations Team of NSW Ambulance.

My mentors over my two weeks with NSW Ambulance had hundreds of combined years of experience, not only in clinical but also in leadership settings — fostering an amazing culture of respect, clinical excellence, safety, and kindness that I have never seen before."

* Bond’s Medical Program is comprised of the Bachelor of Medical Studies (0101292) and the Doctor of Medicine (111520H).
