Undergraduate admissions criteria

As a university that promotes and encourages diversity, we accept undergraduate applications from prospective students located anywhere in the world.

Every year we receive applications from domestic and international students who have completed Year 12 in Australia or equivalent secondary studies in other countries.

Explore key information for admission to Bond University as an undergraduate student, including our guaranteed entry offer for current Year 12 students in Australia.

Standard admission requirements

There are standard admission requirements that apply to every student seeking undergraduate entry into Bond University. To be considered for admission into a bachelor’s program, you must be at least 17 years of age. You will also be required to meet a minimum prior score equivalent to ATAR 65.00, OP 15 or IB 24.

If you don’t meet these scores, or have been out of high school for more than two years with no further studies to qualify your minimum prior score, this isn’t the end of your Bond journey – you’ll still be considered for entry into a Bond University College pathway program. Located right here on campus, Bond University College (BUC) ensures you’ve got all the necessary knowledge to sidestep into your degree of choice without missing out on any of the action of university life.

Admissions information for recent Year 12 graduates

Admissions information for recent Year 12 graduates

If you’ve completed Year 12 in the last two years, received a Queensland OP, interstate ATAR or International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma result, and have not undertaken any post-secondary studies, you will be considered for admission based on your OP/ATAR/IB achievement. Your eligibility will be assessed against the admission requirements, which include prerequisite subjects, for your program of choice. Queensland OP-ineligible students may be considered for admission based on their overall high school results.

Alternate entry options

Everyone's journey to university is different – there's no one 'right' way to commence your studies. If you haven't received an Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR), there are other pathways that will permit you to gain entry to Bond University.

The academic qualifications you will need to satisfy to get into your chosen program will depend on where you're at in life, and any past study or work experience you have completed. Explore admissions pathways based on your circumstances below.
