What our students say

Jaye Eccleston

Commercial Partnerships Executive, Hawthorn Football Club

"Bond’s Sport Management degree delivered above and beyond my expectations. The benefit of smaller class sizes provided endless opportunities to network and create contacts that assisted in landing my desired job in the AFL Industry.  Study abroad opportunities also helped broaden my global sports knowledge and allowed for me to draw upon unique experiences, which has proven to be a point of difference when applying for jobs in a competitive sporting market. Most importantly, you meet great like-minded people who remain friends beyond graduating your degree".

Caitlin Sippel

Program Manager (Competition & Events) – Hockey Queensland

“I like to aim high. I wanted the best possible study environment at a university where the learning experience wasn’t limited to the classroom.

I knew Bond was the only university that could offer what I wanted and I loved every minute of my time there. I cannot speak highly enough of the lecturers as well as the facilities on campus. The sporting programs offered at Bond were also of great interest to me as I wanted my student experience to extend out of the classroom. The friendships and professional networks I developed whilst studying has changed me in the best possible way. There is just something very special about being a ‘Bondy’!"

Steven Farrell

Talent Development & Pathways Coordinator – Queensland Cricket, Brisbane

"Having completed a TAFE Diploma of Sport Development when I finished school and then working in the sports industry for several years, I came to the realisation that I needed a specialised degree qualification to progress my career further.
I didn’t want to spend three or four years at university but, with Bond’s three-semesters-per-year schedule, I could complete the Bachelor of Sport Management in just two years.

I still had six months of study left when I was offered a full-time job as Football Equipment / Away Team Manager at Brisbane Roar Football Club (which came about through an internship position). Going to Bond was definitely the best decision I could have made!”
