Be an agent for change

The upcoming semester for this program will be delivered in a multi-modal format, with classes designed to support and engage all learners. Whether they're on campus or abroad, all students will be able to access Bond's exceptional and personalised learning experience through dynamic and interactive lectures, tutorials, seminars, workshops and lab sessions.

Projects are vehicles for change. Organisations are increasingly becoming project-orientated and are seeking creative ‘can-do’ graduates with skills in communication, leadership, team management, change management, and process improvement. Our Bachelor of Project Management provides graduates who can find work in any industry sector, and for the first time in Queensland, provides a direct career path from school to professional certification as a project manager.

The Bachelor of Project Management curriculum is built around three foundational semesters, followed by three practice semesters. In the first year, you’ll focus on business acumen, project framework, process analysis and core skills development. In the second year, the emphasis is on technical, tactical and strategic decision making.

The program introduces students to how to manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, procurement, communications, and stakeholders, culminating in a capstone subject on project integration management.

Most project management degrees worldwide are only offered at the postgraduate level. By offering a specialist Project Management undergraduate degree, Bond is the first university in Queensland to create a direct career pathway from school to professional certification as a Project Manager.

The Bachelor of Project Management can be completed in 6 semesters of full-time study. Thanks to Bond University’s accelerated three-semesters-per-year timetable, you can graduate in just 2 years or continue on to postgraduate studies at the Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma or Masters level.

Campus and Bond University Experience

For the past 15 years, Bond University has been ranked #1 in Australia for Student Experience by the Good Universities Guide. This ranking recognises that there is a big difference between learning in large anonymous cohorts and working in small, discussion-based classes where you will be mentored through your studies by world-renowned academics and industry practitioners.

Our Project Management students are exposed to industry from early in the course so that they have a clear, practical context for the concepts they are learning.

In addition to your project management studies, you’ll develop high level interpersonal and employability skills – communication, leadership, ethics – through Bond’s unique core subjects and Beyond Bond program that is part of every undergraduate degree. In the Transformer program - another only-at-Bond experience – you’ll have the chance to work on real-life projects of your own choosing with students from across the University.

When it comes to planning your career path, the team at the Career Development Centre will work with you to find internships and work placements, while our international student exchange partnerships give you the opportunity to study and work overseas for a semester.

As for your social life – Bond is renowned for it, with a huge range of active student clubs, sporting teams, swimming pools, the aquatic centre, student gym, fitness and yoga classes, restaurants, cafes and everyone’s favourite watering hole, Don’s Tavern, all right here on campus.
