In this degree you will have the option to major in accounting, actuarial science, data analytics, economics, or finance to kickstart your professional career in various fields. Graduates often attain roles in specialist fields in accounting, economics, investments, banking, stockbroking, research and more.

Outcomes

Accountant

Job growth of accountants in the next 5 years is expected to increase by 8.6 per cent. Some accountants assist individuals and organisations to manage their finances, give advice on compliance and record management, and some provide assurance services. Others use their technical, analytical and leadership skills to help organisations plan and implement their strategies and goals. Career paths in accounting include auditing, business services, corporate, cost, financial management and control, forensic, insolvency, management, and tax.

Stockbroker

A career as a stockbroker takes confidence and strong mathematical ability. Stockbrokers deal with all kinds of tasks in the financial world and serve as an adviser for clients and prospective clients. A licence and registration are required to work in this field from the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC).

Data analyst

The role of a data analyst involves gathering, analysing, and interpreting data obtained from diverse sources. Data analysts frequently play a crucial role in assisting businesses and organisations in identifying emerging markets, economic trends, and additional revenue streams. 

Economist

Economists have the flexibility to operate in diverse environments and sectors, where they assess market trends and evaluate the performance of businesses to develop precise financial predictions. They'll utilise these forecasts to counsel organisations on optimal financial strategies, ensuring their economic stability.
