Accountant

Job growth of accountants in the next 5 years is expected to increase by 8.6 per cent. Some accountants assist clients to manage their finances, give advice on compliance and record management, and some provide assurance services. Others use their technical, analytical and leadership skills to help organisations plan and implement their strategies and goals. Career paths in accounting include auditing, business services, corporate, cost, financial management and control, forensic, insolvency and tax.

Financial Planner

Also known as financial advisors, financial planners are highly sought-after professionals in organisations as they provide guidance in meeting financial goals. Many financial planners decide to specialise and focus their practice in particular areas, such as superannuation, tax planning or debt management.

Stockbroker

A career as a stockbroker takes confidence and strong mathematical ability. Stockbrokers deal with all kinds of tasks in the financial world and serve as an adviser for clients and prospective clients. A licence and registration are required to work in this field from the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC).
