The English program is specifically designed to assist international students wishing to enter Bond University. The program provides students with the academic language skills required in a university where English is the medium of instruction; these skills include the macro areas of reading, writing, listening and speaking (including pronunciation) as well as critical thinking and research skills. Students will develop relevant academic skills, digital literacies and intercultural competency in preparation for higher education and beyond.

Full-time study involves 25 hours per week, with five of those hours being for independent study and/or individual consultation. Intakes for the subjects are built to transfer to Bond University’s academic semesters. This allows you to progress easily into the University’s degree programs when the time comes.

Tuition fees are subject to change on an annual basis and will be charged at the appropriate fee for the year of enrolment.
Entry to the English program is via one of the following methods:
- International English Language Testing System - Academic (IELTS Academic)
- Pearson Test of English - Academic (PTE Academic)
- Test of English as a Foreign Language - Internet Based Test (TOEFL - IBT)
- Cambridge English: Advanced
Test scores for the following tests can be used as a guide and all students will be required to be tested on arrival using a placement test. The placement test will determine the actual level of the English tuition required.

- College English Test (CET) 大学四六级英语考试／大学公共英语考试
- Test of English as a Foreign Language - Institutional Testing Program (TOEFL - ITP). Institutional and Public tests.
- Test of English for International Communication - Listening and Reading Test (TOEIC - Listening and Reading Test)
Please note that English language test results must be no older than 24 months when the applicant commences their program.

Students who attain a grade of Distinction or higher in English 7 will be eligible for entry into University programs that have an entry requirement of IELTS 7.0 with no band less than 6.5.
Due to the specific accreditation requirements, the Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science, Doctor of Physiotherapy, Master of Psychology (Clinical), Master of Professional Psychology, and Master of Occupational Therapy require a formal English test.
