Strengthen your Board CV and governance effectiveness with a Master of Laws in Enterprise Governance, the only LLM in Australia offered to the governance community.
Available to both law and non-law graduates, the program is designed for current Directors and Officers, as well as those aspiring to Board positions. It is the only Master of Laws in Australia with a specific focus on enterprise governance.
Course content explores the critical aspects of Board governance including ethics, commercial structures, strategy, risk, compliance, finance, tax and insolvency, privacy and consumer law, IT law and cyber security. All governance work is underpinned by a regulatory, legal and compliance framework and it is important that directors and officers understand their legal and compliance obligations. The LLMEntGov is appropriate for listed, for-profit, not-for-profit, small business and government entities. Participants will learn from experienced Board and legal practitioners how to use governance as a framework for organisational excellence and ethical leadership.
The Master of Laws in Enterprise Governance is specifically designed to suit the schedule of working professionals by delivering subjects via a combination of two-day face-to-face workshops and online modules, with starting dates in January, May or September. Non law graduates start in September of each year only. It is recommended that law graduates commence their study in September and January to align with the compulsory study plan of the broader cohort.
Bond University Experience
A stand-out feature of this program is that all subjects include a two-day conference style intensive component on Bond University’s Gold Coast campus.
Each intensive will feature up to six guest speakers, including Chairs and Directors from publicly listed and not-for-profit entities, regulators and government agencies. These leading governance experts will be joined by partners from major law and accounting firms and members of the judiciary.
With student numbers limited to just 15 per intake, these intensives offer a unique opportunity to network with some of Australia’s leading governance experts and Company Directors and make key contacts for current and future Board placements. Additional learning support is presented via online modules. All assessment tasks are constructively aligned, authentic and based on real-life Board scenarios and cases. There are no exams.
