There’s no question about it - prospective students will have all their questions answered in one place at Bond University’s annual Open Day on Saturday, July 28.
The theme of this year’s event is ‘no question unanswered’, and Bond’s staff, students and alumni will be joining forces to answer any and all questions thrown their way.
Who'll be my lecturer? Is your equipment the same as what's used in industry? How easy is it to switch courses? What's the best way to meet people? What is a Bond Transformer? How do I access FEE-HELP? What's the difference between a lecture and a tutorial?
There’s no such thing as a silly question and no question is too tough either, so school-leavers, parents and mature-age applicants are guaranteed to get the answer they are looking for.
This year is one of the most jam-packed schedules yet, so perhaps one of the most popular questions of the day will be, “Can I fit this all into four hours?”
Open Day provides a great chance to grab an all-access pass and explore Bond's amazing campus solo, or alternatively go behind-the-scenes with a guided tour from current Bond students.
Bond’s Business School (BBS) will this year be holding an Enabling Creativity and Innovation interactive workshop for those wanting to find out how they can stand out in today’s global marketplace.
‘The Transformer’, a recently launched, Australian-first program designed to foster students’ big-picture thinking, creative problem-solving and evidence-based decision making will be opening its doors to all too.
The Faculty of Health Sciences & Medicine will be showcasing its industry-leading facilities and expertise by holding chemistry shows, medical simulations, science experiments and human movement testing.
It will be time to get hands-on at the Faculty of Society & Design, with an architecture exhibition, robot and woodwork demonstrations, interactive film and television tours, and media and design stations to immerse visitors in the latest 3D printing, virtual reality, drone and mixed reality technologies.
Sport and fitness is part of Bond’s DNA so whether you’re a weekend warrior or an elite athlete, be sure to find out more about the University’s many sports clubs and take a tour of the huge range of world-class facilities that make up the Sports Centre and outdoor sporting precinct.
Parents and guardians who play an active role in their child’s future university experience should look no further than the Parent Lounge. Whether you’re helping your son or daughter choose where to study, supporting them with funds or simply offering your advice and support as they make this next big step, representatives from Bond will be available in the Parent Lounge to answer any specific questions they might have.
But it’s not all information sessions and campus tours.
What makes Bond’s Open Day so unique is its friendly festival feel, with the event being held at twilight and culminating in a live music performance from the Sheldon College soul band and technicolour jazz/funk outfit Nomika, followed by a breathtaking fireworks display.
For those unable to make it to this year’s Open Day in person, Bond will be offering a special Open Day Live program. From anywhere in the world - and from the comfort of their computer or smart device - prospective students can experience personalised guided campus tours, information sessions, exclusive interviews, explore study options and have their questions answered in real-time.
Bond’s Open Day will be held on Saturday, July 28 from 2pm-6pm.
