Women in Leadership Microcredential
  • This flexible course is designed to fit seamlessly into your busy schedule. There are five online self-paced modules that provide interactive exercises and real-world scenarios, and encourage you to self-reflect. All components can be completed at anytime via our high-quality learner platform.

    Module 1: Navigating the Current Landscape for Women in Leadership
    In this module you will explore the importance of diversity and inclusion in professional settings, learning strategies to foster a supportive and inclusive work environment, and develop the knowledge and skills to promote diversity, challenge biases, and advocate for inclusivity, ultimately contributing to a workplace where everyone can flourish.

    Module 2: Exploring Impactful Leadership Styles
    This module will focus on exploring contemporary leadership styles; with a particular focus on principles and practices of adaptive leadership. You will consider the metaphoric shift from β€˜hero’ to β€˜host’ in leveraging the collective intelligence of teams and groups, and explore how to navigate complex and uncertain environments by fostering a culture of learning, growth and resilience.

    Module 3: Self-Awareness and Personal Leadership Identity
    This module will provide you with the tools to identify and understand your individual leadership identity. You will consider insights in relation to self-limiting behaviours and self-talk that may limit self-awareness and self-confidence in the workplace, and explore your own professional identity and brand at work.

    Module 4: Maximising Impact and Influence
    This module will explore gender dynamics in negotiation and communication, learning strategies to overcome biases to leverage your unique strengths. Through interactive exercises and real-world scenarios, you will gain practical tools to confidently negotiate, effectively communicate ideas, and establish yourself as a influential leader in your workplace.

    Module 5: Navigating the Future – Strategic Networks and Career Discovery 
    This module aims to provide you with opportunities for self-reflection and planning in relation to building personal networks and career plans; taking into account some of the traditional barriers faced by women in navigating a range of professional and personal commitments. You will develop the knowledge and skills to build a personal networking strategy; as well as explore approaches for personal career discovery and planning.

  • This course is designed for women who want to advance their career in leadership and management and are seeking to grow and improve upon their leadership skillset, including those at an Executive and/or Postgraduate level, as well as those in the workforce that are in a transitional or growth phase of their career.
