About the position

Reporting to the Manager, Development and Application Support, this technical position will be working under limited direction as a member in the applications development team, responsible for developing and implementing solutions integrating applications across the University.   This role will holds accountability for architecting, developing, implementing and supporting software, data integration and error reporting solutions that meet the functional and non-functional requirements of the business.

Contribution to the development and use of a middleware platform to facilitate improved integrations between disparate systems is also key to this role.  Working closely with the other Information Technology Services teams, technical staff and the campus community, this role will help ensure that end user software is provided as requested with high quality and priority.

About the person:

The successful candidate will have a degree in IT and/or relevant experience in a similar position.  Significant skills in the design and development of complex SQL queries, views, stored procedures, functions, triggers SSIS packages in Microsoft SQL as well as significant experience developing with the Microsoft .NET stack – C#, ASP.NET, Web API, Entity Framework, WCF, MVC and direct experience developing integrations to SOAP and RESTful web service end points, using both XML and JSON messaging is crucial to this role.

Highly motivated candidates with the ability to work with other technical specialists to understand technical IT issues and provide demonstrated ability in architecting solutions to meet the objectives using knowledge of enterprise architecture and design patterns are encouraged to apply.

Salary details:

The salary for this position will commence at $94,051 plus 10% superannuation per annum,  negotiable based on experience and skills.
