How a Graduate Certificate can accelerate your career

Looking to get a competitive advantage in your career? Enhancing your qualifications with a Graduate Certificate could give you the edge – in just one semester.

With the world of work constantly changing, there is an increased focus on the importance of professional development and continuing to build your skill-set. Earning new qualifications can help to future-proof your career with a set of new skills – and the credentials to back it up.

Graduate Certificates, explained

A Graduate Certificate is a postgraduate credential, usually focussed in a specific area of study – for example, a Graduate Certificate in Nutrition,Graduate Certificate in Business Administration or a Graduate Certificate in Project Management.

It typically includes four subjects, which can be completed in one semester full-time.

The value of a Graduate Certificate

There are many reasons people might choose to study a Graduate Certificate, but a big part of its value is its ability to improve your qualifications and help you to stand out in the workforce.

It allows you to expand or deepen your knowledge in a specific area. You can take a deep dive into an area of interest, gain a recognised qualification in an area where you have a skills gap, or further your professional career in a particular direction.

It’s a smaller commitment than a full Master’s degree, but students will receive full credit point recognition if they choose to continue onto a Master’s program.
