Individual Study in Law (2) is an elective subject in undergraduate programs offered by the Faculty of Law. Students must complete an independent research paper on an agreed topic, supervised by a Faculty of Law academic staff member. Enrolment is by application only and Faculty approval is required. 1. Demonstrate knowledge and skills to plan and complete a research paper with independence.
2. Exercise critical thinking and judgement in analysing, synthesising and evaluating relevant factual, legal and policy issues.
3. Demonstrate written communication skills by presenting a clear and coherent exposition of knowledge and ideas.
Faculty approval is required. Students must be admitted into a Bachelor law degree OR Bachelor of Laws combined degree.
This subject is not available as a general elective. To be eligible for enrolment, the subject must be specified in the students’ program structure.
