Applying for credit

You can gain recognition towards your course at Bond for your prior learning and experience. If you have completed studies at another institution, or have gained relevant work experience, you may be eligible for credit towards your Bond program of study. This recognition can include both formal and informal/non-formal learning.

If you plan on applying for credit, the process – like our other application processes – is simple and streamlined. Learn whether you are eligible, and discover how to apply for credit below.

Types of Credit

Formal Learning:

Credit for Formal Learning is recognition of prior studies undertaken at accredited institutions, such as universities or TAFE. This credit is awarded for subjects you have completed elsewhere that closely match the content and learning outcomes of the subjects in your Bond course.

Informal/Non-Formal Learning:

Credit for Informal or Non-Formal Learning acknowledges the skills and knowledge you’ve acquired through work experience, on-the-job training, microcredentials, or a combination of these. This type of credit focuses on the practical application of what you've learned outside of a formal educational setting.

Articulations/pathway partners

Partnership and Articulation agreements enable you to transition smoothly from external qualifications into approved programs at Bond. These partnerships assess prior learning, providing structured pathways with possible credit transfers into our undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. Bond University offers a range of articulation pathways through partnerships with institutions worldwide.
