Study a Master of Legal Administration

The Master of Legal Administration (MLA) offers students with a non-law degree the opportunity to attain postgraduate qualifications in law. Students may complete a generalist degree or elect to specialise in a particular area of law, combined with up to four postgraduate subjects from other disciplines. This program is ideal for students from other fields and professions who wish to broaden their understanding of the law or specialize in an area of legal interest, yet do not wish to practise.

Learn in the now

Right now, this moment, things are changing. Big changes, small changes, climate changes, gear-changes. With so much going on in the world, why wouldn’t you learn from it?

"The Integrated Skills and Professionalism Program embedded within the law curriculum is one of the hallmarks of the Bond law degree. If employers are chasing a truly ‘practice ready’ graduate, then a Bondie is undoubtedly the safest bet."

Study options

In their first trimester, MLA students complete the four 4 x 10cps compulsory law subjects on the Bond University campus. All four subjects are delivered using face-to-face classes (lectures and tutorials) delivered weekly. MLA students are thus obliged to spend at least 4 months living on the Gold Coast.

In their second and third trimesters, MLA students have four study options available to them in completing their 80cps of elective law and non-law subjects:

  1. Complete subjects delivered as weekly classes on the Bond University campus. Students choosing this study option would be obliged to reside on or near the Gold Coast campus for the duration of the program.
  2. Complete subjects delivered intensively across 3 to 6 days on the Bond University Campus. Students choosing this study option can reside anywhere in the world and travel to Bond for the duration of the intensive classes.
  3. Complete subjects delivered entirely online, i.e. the 20cps subjects offered in the International Commercial Law and Dispute Resolution specialisation.  Students choosing this study option can reside anywhere in the world.
  4. A combination of the above.
