Bachelor of Legal Transformation

Where will your degree take you?

The fourth industrial revolution is disrupting how law is interpreted, applied, and practised, at every level. In this time of radical change, the industry needs a new kind of professional … and they’re not lawyers. New technologies, new providers, and shifting client expectations are changing the way legal services are delivered. Lawyers and officers of the court are operating across multiple jurisdictions – from country to country, from the real world to the virtual world, from traditional media and paper files to social media and cloud storage.

This legal enterprise of the future is multidisciplinary and far from conventional. It has fewer lawyers and more project managers, data scientists, digital designers and design thinkers. As a graduate of Bond's legal transformation program, your career pathways are limitless, with a range of future role possibilities that will prepare you to take on this brave new world.

Outcomes

Legal operations manager

A legal operations manager or legal project manager supports and oversees a full range of projects for legal teams which include managing outside counsel and vendors, overseeing the legal department's budget, and fulfilling staffing needs.

Legal solutions architect

Centred around providing solutions to enhance the client's experience, legal solutions architects need a critical understanding of technology, knowledge management, business analysis, process improvement and project management with the skillset to anticipate, identify, sell and drive innovative business solutions.

Paralegal

Paralegals play a vital role in the legal system. Traditionally not admitted to practice law, paralegals often perform similar legal tasks performed by junior lawyers, under the supervision and tutelage of a senior lawyer.  As a paralegal, you can become a specialist in litigation, intellectual property, mediation, and corporate law, among other areas.

Graduate outcomes

Graduates of the Bachelor of Legal Transformation will be equipped to:

  • Explore contemporary legal problems and design ethical, effective and creative solutions using design thinking methodologies.
  • Develop the skills, knowledge and language to deliver legal services in the face of rapid and persistent technological change.
  • Lead and manage transdisciplinary teams and projects.
  • Think critically about the law and technology in social and commercial settings and culturally diverse contexts.

Program learning outcomes

Program Learning Outcomes provide a broad and measurable set of standards that incorporate a range of knowledge, skills and abilities that will be achieved on completion of the program.
