Did you know that Coronary heart disease is the leading cause of death in Queensland? Or that two-thirds of Cardiac disease fatalities are preventable? It is never too early to consider your cardiac health. Preventable risk factors include:

  • High blood pressure
  • High blood cholesterol
  • Physical inactivity
  • Obesity
  • Poor Nutrition
  • Smoking

What can you do?

  • Quit smoking
  • Eat a nutritional diet
  • Undertake some sort of physical activity for 30 minutes, most days of the week
  • Achieve and maintain a healthy weight
  • Visit your doctor for advice or to help you form a strategy for improving your heart health.
