Club Corner: Bond Touch Football

On the Club Corner we highlight the University's social sports clubs.

This week we shine the spotlight on Touch Football.

What is the Bond Touch Club?

Bond Touch Club is the greatest sporting club on campus! We offer weekly social touch competitions that are open to all students and staff. Whether you’re a seasoned player or you’re just keen to be active and social and have a few laughs, Bond Touch Club is a place for everyone. Our club is built upon community. We compete, we socialise and we have a great time doing it.

Greatest achievement as a club?

We’ve had some great achievements as a club. Winning 2023 Club of the year, 2024 Coach of the Year (Zachery Southey) and Sportsman of UniSport Nationals (Dylan Stensholm) were a small testament to our culture and unity as a club.

Another highlight was UniSport Nationals last year. Our teams played some brilliant footy and our Men’s Div1 team came away with a silver medal.

What fun traditions & Rivalries /rituals/superstitions do you do?

Pizza Night - Every Wednesday night at social touch we have pizzas and red bulls; and on the occasion a fun dress-up theme.

  • Our UniGames traditions are classified… so we encourage you to join us this September and find out.
  • Fiercest Rival? You can’t argue that Griffith Uni will be our rivals this year, especially with UniSport Nationals back on home ground! But we know that our Men's team will be coming back strong against University of Wollongong for that gold medal.
