The program is designed and delivered by a team of experts from Bond University. This team includes Professor Barry Burgan (Bond University's MBA-BBT Director), Assistant Professor Libby Sander (Bond University's MBA Director & Assistant Professor of Organisational Behaviour), and Dr Steve Bagi (Consulting Psychologist who specialises in strengths-based leadership and team building).

Workshop topics:

  1. Understanding Self & Others
A team is a group of individuals who are interdependent with respect to information, resources and skills who seek to combine their efforts to achieve a common goal. To understand teams, you first need to understand the individuals that make up the team. This session includes participants completing a Gallup Clifton Strengths Assessment where they assess and discuss the strengths they bring as a leader and how it will affect their role as a leader.
  2. Fundamentals of Groups & Teams
This workshop involves discussion about the fundamental concepts of groups and teams including composition, norms, group dynamics and the difference between groups and teams.
  3. Making Teamwork Work
This workshop follows on about how to make teams more effective by considering effective team processes (e.g., goal setting, planning, meetings, perf. mgt.) and team development.
  4. The Process of Leadership
This final workshop explores the role of “leaders” and “followers” (a leader cannot lead unless there is someone to lead) and how it is important to understand both roles and their engagement in the process of leadership.
