We are seeking a Services Supervisor to work in close partnership with our Operations Manager to deliver Facilities Management outcomes that support the University’s strategic plan and operational objectives. 

This role plays a key part in ensuring the effective, safe and sustainable operation of campus facilities through proactive asset and service management.

The position is responsible for the oversight and integrity of the plant and equipment asset register. This involves embedding best practice approaches to asset sustainability, lifecycle costing, condition reporting and replacement planning, with a strong focus on reducing energy consumption and maximising asset longevity. You will do this alongside an engaged and motivated team who are striving for constant improvements across our campus.

 

Core responsibilities

  • Oversee Facilities Management service contracts.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with contractors through regular meetings, performance monitoring and KPI oversight.
  • Reviewing and negotiating scopes of work to ensure value for money and managing compliance requirements.
  • Ensuring all facilities management activities meet relevant legislative, regulatory and organisational standards.
  • Plan and coordinate work associated with asset management, space management and sustainability initiatives across the Facilities Management portfolio.

     

About the person

You are a Services Supervisor with a background working across a multi-site environment who enjoys a busy, fast paced setting. You can juggle multiple competing priorities without compromising quality or safety.

 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience with Facilities Management service agreements.
  • Confidence when engaging with contractors, reviewing performance outcomes, and refining scopes of work.
  • Working knowledge of Australian legislation, standards, and codes of practice.
  • Relevant trade qualification, engineering background, or tertiary qualification in facilities management.
  • Experience working within a university, TAFE, or similarly complex multi‑site organisation.

 

Salary details

The salary for the position commences at $96,222.23 per annum, plus 12% superannuation.

Please note: The fixed term of this employment contract will be for up to two years, with twelve months' probation. The prospect of conversion to a continuing employment contract will be discussed at the end of the contract term.
