Bond University Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine provides education to students in health degrees including Medicine, Physiotherapy, Nutrition and Dietetics and Occupational Therapy. Bond has a personalised teaching model with emphasis on providing small class sizes as often as possible, and for clinical students this may be in a “simulated” or “role play” environment where students can learn or demonstrate a skill.
A Simulated Participant is a well staff member who portrays a patient (simulated patient), family member or client to meet the objectives of the simulation. Simulated Participants engage in providing feedback to the learner.
Simulated Participants will partner with various programs in teaching for a variety of educational activities. The names of these activities reflect the level of involvement and training required, such as History Taking or Physical Examination Skills.
The Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine welcomes applications for the position of Simulated Participant within the Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine, who will be an integral member of the team.

Desirable criteria includes previous experience as a Simulated Participant or in simulated settings and/or is fluent (written and verbal) in a foreign language including but not limited to:
Indigenous languages, Arabic, Vietnamese, Cantonese, Punjabi, Mandarin etc.
Salary details
The hourly rate for this casual role is $49.70 (includes 25% casual loading) plus 12% superannuation per annum.
