About the Position 

This is an outstanding opportunity for a suitably qualified academic to join the Faculty of Society & Design at an exciting time of growth and development.

The emphasis of the position is to deliver and undertake teaching and research within the areas of building measurement and quantity surveying.  Additional experience related to any of the areas listed below would be preferred:  

  • Construction technology

  • Measurement

  • CostX 

  • Estimating and cost planning

  • Building Information Modelling (BIM)

  • Building services

  • Contract administration

  • Construction management

  • Commercial management

  • Industry experience desirable 

 

About the person

The successful applicant will hold a PhD in a relevant field and/or have equivalent extensive relevant industry experience.  The successful applicant will also be a member of or be eligible to be a member of the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors or suitable equivalent.

As a member of academic staff, the successful applicant will be responsible for contributing to teaching, research and service in the Faculty and University at the undergraduate and Postgraduate level. The successful applicant will also engage in professional and industry liaison and provide student support within the Faculty.

 

Salary details

The salary for this position is outlined below and will be negotiated commensurate with skills, qualifications, and experience. 

  • Assistant Professor A remuneration commences at $165,010.96 per annum plus 12% superannuation.
  • Assistant Professor B remuneration commences at $138,836.18 per annum plus 12% superannuation.
