The Business Intelligence Developer is a key technical role responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining the organisation’s data warehouse and associated data integration processes. This includes consolidating and integrating data from multiple source systems to enable reliable, consistent, and high-quality reporting. The role focuses on designing and delivering robust ETL processes, with a strong emphasis on automation, scalability, and continuous improvement.

 

Working closely with business stakeholders, the BI Developer analyses requirements and translates them into efficient, fit-for-purpose technical solutions, ensuring alignment with data architecture, governance, and design standards. 

 

The role also applies strong data warehousing and analytical expertise to develop high-quality data models and deliver impactful dashboards and reports, supporting informed decision-making across the organisation using tools such as Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.

 

About the person

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or a proven record of BI development experience.
  • Highly technical and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work on highly complex datasets.
  • 5+ years of experience in BI development from integration to reporting using relevant Microsoft tools such as SSMS, Power BI and Fabric.
  • Proactive problem-solver who takes ownership and continuously seeks opportunities to improve processes and performance
  • Strong communicator, able to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Well-organised and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment in a small team.
  • Committed to continuous learning, staying up to date with emerging BI tools, technologies, and best practices

     

Salary details

The salary for the position commences at $112,811.36 per annum, plus 12% superannuation.
