Bond sprint to the finish of Aon Uni Series 7s

Bond University will introduce Kaitlin Shave - a 100m sprint star - into their starting line-up for the fifth and final round of the Aon Uni 7s Series taking place in Adelaide this weekend.

Coach Ben Gollings said Shave will be an exciting addition to the team, who will be looking to rise up the ladder in the last round of the series.

“Looking ahead to the weekend we have been put in a tough pool, however this is a good challenge and an opportunity to finish strong,” Gollings said.

“It was disappointing not to qualify for the top four at our home tournament at Bond earlier this month.

“However, this is sevens - and it can be a cruel game at times. As a squad we need to bounce back this weekend.”

Bond’s squad for Aon Uni7s Series (Round 5) in Adelaide is:

  • Millie Boyle
  • Georgia Page
  • Gabrielle Senft
  • Sophie Holyman
  • Trinity Mamoe
  • Jessika Elliston ©
  • Kaitlin Shave
  • Tarni Peep
  • Madison Schuck
  • Stephanie Rutherford
  • Gemma Walker
  • Taylor Fenton

Bond will play pool games against University of Canberra, University of New England, Griffith University and University of Queensland.

All matches will be streamed live via rugby.com.au and UniSport Australia’s Facebook page.
