If you're studying a program within the Faculty of Health Science and Medicine, some of the additional costs may apply, depending on your program and level of study. These additional costs may include items like uniforms and lab coats, vaccinations, police checks, first aid training and 'experiences' like external excursions and field trips.

Notes

  1. Students participating in laboratory practicums will require enclosed footwear.
  2. Students undertaking clinical placements, internships or field trips in Australia and overseas will need to pay additional costs associated with travel and accommodation. There may also be fees for processing documents, transcripts and letters required for clinical placements.
  3. Students undertaking clinical placements are required to maintain professional dress standards in clinical situations.
  4. Serology, immunisations and Federal Police Certificates are mandatory in Queensland and NSW Health facilities and will be required for all students undertaking clinical placements. Additional immunisations may also be required (in particular for international placements).
  5. Students participating in laboratory research involving human tissue will be advised as to the requirement for specific immunisations.
  6. Immunisation costs are based on Bond University Health Services estimates which are likely to fluctuate.
  7. Costs may vary between students. The costs listed for clinical placement/practicums are best estimates based on prior experience. These are subject to fluctuations depending on location of clinical placements/practicum, location of studentsโ€™ regular or temporary accommodation, and the methods of transport used.
  8. Healthcare innovations students who choose to complete their capstone placement and project outside of their organisation or away from home, and those who would like to attend workshops in person may incur costs associated with travel / accommodation.
  9. All students must have their own device as they are a required for examinations.

SerologyFree at Bond University Medical Clinic for Medicare Card or OSHC insurance holders. Private fees apply for other patients. 

Serology at Bond University Medical Clinic subject to nurse availability; other clinics may bulk bill Medicare Card holders or charge approx.

Can be attended at QML Varsity- blood test form can be organised through Bond University Medical Clinic. 

Required if you were born in or have spent more than 12 weeks in your lifetime in countries considered high risk for tuberculosis
