About the speaker
Rob Layton teaches mobile journalism and smartphone photography. In addition to his work at Bond, Rob trains journalists and industry professionals in Australia, Europe, the UK and Asia in how to use their phones professionally for storytelling.
He specialises in using iPhones in the ocean for photography and filmmaking, which are foundational to his PhD project, in which he is creating a video documentary about Gold Coast surf culture.
