You’ll have the chance to explore the human body through new and emerging technologies and sharpen your analytical reasoning by developing an intricate, ‘inside out’ understanding of how the body works.

Whether you’re at home, in the labs, or studying elsewhere on campus, you will enjoy access to educational material and technologies outside of designated class time to further refine your skills. With your mentors focused on real world learning, you’ll also be encouraged to develop your critical analysis, problem-solving and practical skills throughout your studies.
This means once you’re out practising in the ‘real world’, your ability to work through complex medical issues will feel like second nature after being challenged and guided throughout your uni years.

Our Faculty of Health Sciences & Medicine conducts world-class research, and by enrolling in an honours, masters, or PhD program, you’ll have the chance to work alongside leading researchers who will inspire and mentor you as you strive to make your mark on the world of science. The specialist research areas within the faculty span a broad base of national and international health and medical areas including antibiotic resistance, therapeutic use of stem cells to treat disease, mobile phones as carriers of microbes, medications for disorders such as cystitis and waste in medical research… just to name a few!

As you may already know, Bond degrees are accelerated, meaning you’ll study the Bachelor of Biomedical Science for two years full-time and finish a whole year ahead of your peers studying similar programs at other universities. With the knowledge and skills gained in your degree, you’ll be well-equipped to start your professional career at medical labs or pathology services from the moment you graduate.
The Bachelor of Biomedical Science is also an approved pathway for our Medical Program – and the only pathway for international undergraduate students. If you’re a high achiever considering this career path, upon successful completion of the Bachelor of Biomedical Science you may be eligible to enter Year 2 of the Medical Program, kicking off an incredible career as a medical doctor.
Alternatively, once you’ve completed your undergraduate degree you can opt to undertake further postgraduate study to pursue your preferred pathway into a number of specialist fields, including physiotherapy, nutrition and dietetics, occupational therapy and healthcare innovations.
