Teaching Methodology
The Graduate Certificate in Sports Science uses a teaching methodology that involves a combination of lectures, tutorials, seminars, examinations, projects, presentations, assignments, and laboratory work. Examination formats may include objective structure practical examinations, theory papers, assignments and oral presentations.
Academic Requirements
1. Successful completion of a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science degree or equivalent degree from a recognised institution that satisfies the following minimum academic entry criteria:
- Two semesters of Human Anatomy
- Two semesters of Human Physiology
- Two semesters of Biomechanics
- One semester of Research Design/ Statistics
- One semester of Physiology of Exercise
- One semester of Exercise Prescription
- One semester of clinical exercise testing
Transcripts of completion of primary degree and specific subject outlines need to be supplied with applications.
2. Successful performance at a selection interview
Domestic short listed applicants will be contacted for a face to face interview.
International short listed applicants will be contacted for an interview to be held on-campus (at the expense of the applicant) or via teleconference or video interview.

Credit for Prior Study
Subject credits may be awarded for previous studies. To apply for credits, you will need to submit academic transcripts including detailed subject outlines/course descriptions for each relevant subject and/or certified copies of testamurs to the Office of Future Students.
