Bond University to live stream Open Day

You don’t need to be at Open Day to experience Open Day.

Bond University will for the first time be live-streaming a full program of sessions via Facebook at this year’s Open Day on Saturday, July 28.

From anywhere in the world - and from the comfort of their computer or smart device - prospective students can log in and experience personalised guided campus tours, information sessions, exclusive interviews, explore study options and have their questions answered in real-time.

At last year’s Open Day, Bond’s Film and Television faculty live-streamed a few of their activities on the day, however this is the first time a full event program has ever been rolled out online across all of Bond’s faculties and departments.

International law student at Bond, Anita Kissi, from Canada, is one of several hosts of the Open Day Live web streams.

“I wish when I was looking at going to university there was something like Open Day Live on offer,” she said.

“I remember back when I was considering going to a few different universities – including Bond – I went on to YouTube and literally typed into the search bar “Gold Coast Bond University” so I could watch a video and try to visualise what it’d be like to attend a particular university.

“But now, with Bond’s Open Day Live, it’s made so easy – all you need to do is get on Facebook, click a button and it’s just like being there, which is amazing.

“Bond still wants to encourage people to attend in person, but for those who can’t make it because it’s too far to travel or they are busy on the day, Open Day Live will be the next best thing.”

For those who are unable to stream Open Day Live live, sessions streamed live on the day will also be made available for download after the event.

Bond’s Open Day will be held on Saturday, July 28 from 2pm-6pm.

If you are interested in virtually attending Open Day Live you can RSVP on the event’s Facebook page.
