Thousands experience Bond University

Bond University threw open its doors to thousands of prospective students and their parents for its annual Open Day.

The new look twilight-themed event on Saturday, July 25, drew those looking to study in a diverse range of areas from architecture to medicine, health, business and law, and featured cultural events including art and architectural installations, street food, live music featuring Tijuana Cartel and a fireworks display.

The day provided a perfect opportunity for students to consider their options, whether taking the first step from high school to tertiary education, climbing the corporate ladder or making a career change.

More than $1000 was raised for Bond Children’s Holiday Camp through a coffee gold coin donation.

Bond University Vice Chancellor and President Professor Tim Brailsford said Open Day was a huge success and an important milestone for those planning to study at university next year.

“For many prospective students, the opportunity to experience the campus and the courses first hand in this environment really gives them a sense of what studying at Bond University would be like,” he said.

“At Bond, we like to do things differently, with a focus on personalised education through small class sizes, an accelerated degree program and a hands-on experience.

“Open Day really showcases this culture.”
