Open Day Hailed as `Best Ever'

Bond hosted its biggest and most successful Open Day yet on Sunday, August 17, with almost 3,000 people visiting campus to take part in the day’s activities.

Touted as the most important day on Bond University’s calendar, Open Day was an opportunity for prospective students, their friends, family and the wider community to experience Bond first-hand and get all their questions answered.

Students considering tertiary study were greeted with a complimentary Starter Satchel, giving them everything they needed to get started on the greatest chase of their life- the chase of their ambition.

Many also made the most of the opportunity to meet one-on-one with a career advisor, tour the campus and speak with lecturers and students about the programs they were interested in.

Picture perfect weather showed off Bond’s stunning campus at its best, and many visitors soaked up the sunshine at Bond Café as they enjoyed live jazz entertainment.

Among those visitors were 91 interstate and regional guests who took advantage of the Student Experience Package that saw them stay in student accommodation on the Saturday night prior to Open Day and enjoy dinner at the University Club, followed by breakfast the next morning, free of charge.

The popularity of the Student Experience Package soared this year, with demand more than double that of last year, and all available places sold out.

For those who missed out on this year’s Open Day, never fear! You can chat to Bond students online to get the answers to your questions - from tips on surviving your first year of uni to where to get the best coffee on campus.

Or, if you’re after any details about the programs we offer or would like to make an appointment to meet one-on-one with a Career Advisor in your state, just give our helpful team a call on 1800 074 074 or email [email protected].

Finally, thank you to all the staff, students, Alumni and volunteers that ensured this year’s Open Day was an outstanding success.
Next year’s Open Day has now been scheduled for August 23, 2009, and if this year’s event is anything to go by- it is not to be missed!
