Law Week 2009

Law Week was held in Brisbane from 11-17th May 2009. Once again Bond Law students and staff contributed to an extended program of events. The ever popular fairy tale mock trials, including ‘Robin Hood’ and ‘The Gingerbread Man’ were showcased at Brisbane Magistrates Court on 16th May. This year’s theme was, ‘The Law and Your Community’, celebrating 150 years, provides a great opportunity for Queenslanders to reflect on legal milestones and join in the Q150 celebrations.As part of Law Week, the Law Faculty was invited by the Department of Justice to take the demonstration trials on ‘tour’ with performances at local court houses across the South East in the week leading up to the Law Open Day.
