Bondies get into the Rugby Sevens spirit

Bond staff and students are being encouraged to get into the Rugby Sevens spirit and take advantage of the offer of half-price tickets for the Gold Coast’s biggest international event of the year, the IRB World Rugby Sevens.

The Gold Coast Sevens, which are being held this weekend (Saturday 12th October and Sunday 13th October) at Skilled Park, bring together some of Rugby's most exciting and talented players from across the world, and offer an exciting, fun and entertaining experience for spectators.

Where else can you come dressed as your favourite character, celebrity, object or animal to share a stadium with 16 of the world's best Rugby teams while they battle it out in 45 x 20-minute matches over two days?

As Bond University is the Official Education Partner of the ARU, Bond students and staff can save up to 50% on ticket prices. Single day tickets are just $20.00 and two-day passes $29.

To celebrate our sponsorship of this world-class international event, Bond will be holding a special event for students and staff on Saturday 12th October at 11am at the University Rugby Fields.

Lunch will be provided for all-comers and there will be a great opportunity to win some amazing prizes, so remember to come dressed in your best fancy dress to be in the running!

Following lunch, buses will take Bondies from the University Rugby Fields to Skilled Stadium at 12.00pm. Return buses from the Stadium back to campus will also be running at designated times.

So purchase your tickets, collect your friends, and start brainstorming and bedazzling your fancy dress outfit to make sure you’re ready for the Gold Coast Sevens.

For more information on the Sevens, contact Brett Richardson, Pathways and Partnerships.
