Bond Law Crosses the Finish Line

37 Bondies were out in full force for the annual Gold Coast Airport Marathon on 3-4 July, 2010.

The event attracted a record breaking 23,812 participants from countries around the world, including Kenya, Japan and New Zealand.

For most of the Bond Law team it was their first time competing, with many achieving personal first and personal best times.

Bond Law team member Vanessa Lea said “This was my first time competing in the Gold Coast Airport Marathon, so I didn’t know quite what to expect.”

“The experience was so much fun; and being supported by fellow Bondies helped motivate me across the finish line,” she said.

The Faculty of Law looks forward to entering a team for next year’s event, once again to be staged from the beautiful Southport Broadwater Parklands.
