Bond conference seeks to unlock the secrets behind Autism

Bond University’s Centre for Autism Spectrum Disorders will be hosting a conference which aims to unlock the secrets behind this condition titled, ‘Recognising, assessing and treating complex cases in ASD: from childhood to adulthood’.

Clinical Professor of Psychotherapy at the University of Sheffield, Digby Tantam and Bond’s Associate Professor and Director of the Centre for Autism Spectrum Disorders, Vicki Bitsika will both present at this conference and will be  concentrating on the most recent clinical research.

A key focus of the conference will be to discuss the issues around ASD – a condition that still puzzles researchers – and help parents and professionals enhance the management strategies they are currently using.

The one day conference is open to parents, professionals, students and staff, and features four presentations and two panel discussions that will seek to address key issues for carers of ASD individuals and professionals in the field.

This is an incredible opportunity for anyone interested in ASD and provides the chance to meet other like-minded people caring for and working with ASD individuals. The aim here will be to provide the opportunity for parents and professionals to network and form links they can grow.
