Commonwealth Games gold medallist Alex Graham ready to graduate to the Olympics

Alex Graham has had his best ever year in the pool after claiming Commonwealth Games gold as part of the men’s 4x200m freestyle where he led off a team including Kyle Chalmers, Mack Horton and fellow Bond University student Elijah Winnington. The 23-year-old graduated from his sport management degree at Bond University last weekend, the end of a four-year journey as part of the Georgina Hope Rinehart Swimming Excellence Scholarship, and has his sights set firmly on the future – and the Olympics.

Researchers from Bond University’s Centre for Research in Evidence-Based Practice are on a mission to stop medical misinformation from exploiting the sick and vulnerable. In an era of ‘fake news’, wellness-promoting celebrities and unprecedented access to information, Bond University medical researcher and founder of popular maternal website Not Just Mum Dr Amanda McCullough will join colleagues to teach workshop participants how to sort fact from fiction when consulting Dr Google.
