Residential Lighting Design

Illuminate your career and be guided through the process of interpreting a lighting design brief and crafting your own lighting concept.

Endorsed by the Illuminating Engineering Society of Australia and New Zealand (IESANZ), our Residential Lighting Design microcredential will provide you with a thorough foundation in residential lighting design. This unique instructor-led online course is delivered over 11 weeks. You will learn about the development of concepts into preliminary lighting design solutions, how to identify potential lighting design issues, and, most importantly, how to avoid them.

The course offers a blend of interactive forums, personalised coaching, and invaluable insights from Dr Susan Lambert, an experienced and multi-award winning lighting designer.

The course assessment consists of a client presentation that includes information that allows a client to visualise the intended lighting design solutions including how it will be controlled. The challenge of ensuring that all critical design aspects have been considered will be presented to you, and you will have the freedom to create bespoke lighting solutions to outshine the design brief.

Upon completing the microcredential, your achievements will be formally recognised with a digital Certificate of Achievement from Bond University that is also endorsed by IESANZ.
