As the External Engagement and Marketing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in elevating the Faculty of Law’s profile and driving meaningful connections across domestic and international markets. This is a dynamic, hands‑on position where no two days look the same, you’ll shape strategic marketing and recruitment activity, lead creative campaigns, build brand presence, and champion the Faculty’s story across digital, print, events, and partner channels. Working closely with senior academic and professional leaders, you’ll be the key connector between the Faculty and the University’s central marketing and recruitment teams, ensuring our product knowledge, messaging, and engagement strategies are integrated, impactful, and always ahead of the curve.
This role offers the opportunity to design and deliver innovative marketing solutions, build and nurture partnerships with schools, industry, and community, and represent the Faculty at events. With responsibility spanning brand, communications, market intelligence, recruitment initiatives, and engagement, you’ll shape strategies that directly influence the Faculty’s success and future growth.
About the person
You will be a strategic, motivated and collaborative marketing professional who is excited by the opportunity to shape the Faculty’s presence across domestic and international markets. You enjoy variety, thrive in a dynamic environment, and bring a mix of creativity, analytical thinking, and strong relationship‑building skills. Able to balance strategic insight with hands‑on delivery, you work confidently with diverse stakeholders and take pride in producing high‑quality, impactful marketing and engagement outcomes.
To succeed in this role, you will also bring:
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or a related discipline, along with substantial experience delivering integrated marketing strategies.
- Demonstrated capability across campaign development, digital marketing, communications, and website content management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build partnerships, influence effectively, and represent the Faculty with confidence.
- Strong project‑management abilities, including prioritising competing demands and managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset, with the ability to think laterally, problem‑solve and work flexibly to meet organisational needs.
- High computer literacy across MS Office and relevant marketing systems.
Salary details
The salary for the position commences at $96,222.23 per annum, plus 12% superannuation.
Due to the nature of the position as a backfill it may be necessary to vacate the position earlier than the expected date. The Employee will be advised by the giving of 4 weeks’ notice should the term of employment change.
