About the Position
The Manager, Quality and Performance supports the University’s compliance, enterprise risk, and quality assurance functions by assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of effective frameworks, policies, and processes. This work helps ensure the University meets its legislative and regulatory obligations, upholds good governance practices, and enhances organisational performance.
The Manager provides oversight of enterprise risk-related activities and supports areas across the University in identifying, monitoring, and managing key risks. The role also contributes to the preparation of reports, reviews, and communications for a range of internal and external stakeholders. Effective communication, collaboration, and client‑service skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively across a complex organisation to promote consistent, high‑quality governance and compliance outcome.
About the person
The Manager, Quality and Performance is a key role within the University, supporting the delivery of robust governance, enterprise risk, compliance, and quality assurance practices that strengthen institutional integrity and performance.
The ideal applicant will have:
- Postgraduate qualification (or equivalent senior experience) in governance, law, business, public administration, higher education, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience leading governance, compliance, risk management, and quality assurance frameworks within a complex organisation, ideally in the higher education sector.
- Strong capability in interpreting and applying legislative, regulatory, and external reporting requirements to support institutional compliance and performance.
- Proven ability to develop clear, fit‑for‑purpose policies, reports, and advice, and to communicate effectively with executive leaders, governing bodies, and diverse stakeholders.
- Highly collaborative, service‑oriented professional with excellent interpersonal skills and a sound understanding of ethical governance, EEO, and WHS principles.
This role requires a collaborative and service-oriented professional who can build effective relationships across the University and provide trusted advice to support sound governance and continuous improvement.
Salary details
The salary for the position commences at $130,685.30 per annum, plus 12% superannuation.
