Bond University Sport is home to four Tier 1 Bull Sharks clubs—Rugby, Swimming, Netball and AFL—alongside an Elite Athlete Program and more than 20 club sports supporting a vibrant and active student community.
We are seeking motivated Sports Physiotherapists to join our performance‑medical team and the Bond University Health & Wellness Clinic. In this role, you’ll deliver high‑quality physiotherapy services to Bull Sharks athletes, support injury prevention and rehab, and supervise Physiotherapy students on placement. You’ll be hands‑on at training and game days and work closely with coaches and medical staff to optimise athlete performance. This position includes evening and weekend work aligned to training and competition schedules, and some travel may be required for away fixtures, tournaments, or program needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise Physiotherapy students during clinical placements
- Diagnose, treat and manage injuries and rehab programs.
- Communicate player availability and return‑to‑play timelines.
- Support injury prevention, recovery and musculoskeletal screening.
- Provide taping, triage and first aid at training sessions.
- Deliver match day sideline support and post‑match reporting.
- Coordinate referrals and insurance documentation.
About the person
You’re a qualified Physiotherapist with current unrestricted AHPRA registration and strong clinical experience, ideally gained within elite sport. You’re passionate about mentoring students and contributing to a collaborative performance‑medical environment.
You will bring:
- Bachelor/Masters/Doctor of Physiotherapy (postgrad desirable)
- 5+ years’ clinical experience
- Current AHPRA registration, First Aid/CPR and QLD Blue Card
- Experience treating sporting injuries and working in high‑performance or team sport settings
- Strong understanding of rehab principles and athlete management
Salary details
The salary for this 0.5 position commences at $55,647.05 per annum (Full-time Equivalent is $111,294.10 per annum plus 12% superannuation per annum.
