About the Position
The Bond Business School is looking to appoint a full-time academic who specialises in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, ideally with a business focus.
The successful applicant will contribute significantly to the development and delivery of a suite of new subjects in the Bachelor of Enterprise Artificial Intelligence and Master of Enterprise Artificial Intelligence programs which commence in 2027. These interdisciplinary programs combine core principles of computer science and artificial intelligence with business and data-driven decision-making and entrepreneurial thinking. They are designed to equip students with the technical skills and commercial acumen necessary to develop, implement, and manage AI-driven business applications and digital systems across diverse settings, including business, government, and nonprofit organisations.
Positioned as a hybrid version of a full computer science degree, the program provides strong foundations in programming, systems analysis, databases, and AI/ML (Machine Language) toolkits, including agentic AI. It emphasises applications to solve real-world business problems in areas such as finance, marketing, operations, and strategy.
The successful candidate will also contribute to the School’s research activities and will actively engage with industry and other external stakeholders to support student recruitment and foster strategic partnerships that enhance the visibility and impact of the programs.
The position is offered on a continuing basis. The level of appointment will be determined by the Selection Panel commensurate with skills, qualifications, and experience in line with the position descriptions and selection criteria below.

About the person
The successful applicant will have a demonstrated passion for, and excellence in, teaching and research. They will:
- Be PhD qualified in a field such as computer science, computational science, information systems, or artificial intelligence.
- Have the capacity to lead the development and delivery of subjects such as computational thinking; programming & AI integration; data management; software design and maintenance; algorithms and data structures; and/or cybersecurity, networks, and operating systems.
- Be publishing in high-quality academic and professional publications with the potential to lead research commensurate with their level of appointment. They will also demonstrate the capacity to contribute to cross-disciplinary research teams.
- Have a suitable level of experience in securing research funding and an appropriate track record of supervision of higher degree research students commensurate with their level of appointment.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills enabling them to work effectively in a team with colleagues in the Business School as well as from other faculties and work units.
- Be able to engage effectively with relevant industry, professional and other external stakeholders.
Salary details
The salary for this position is outlined below and will be negotiated commensurate with skills, qualifications, and experience.
