About the position

We are seeking suitably experienced, motivated and customer focussed Commis Chefs to join the kitchen team at Bond University. Reporting to the Demi Chef, the main responsibilities will be to deliver exceptional product and service, prepare food following set guidelines and ensure food and beverage procedures are adhered to.

About the person:

The successful applicant will have an excellent work ethic, high level organisational skills and a genuine enthusiasm towards cooking.

To be considered for the position you must be able to demonstrate the following:
 

  • Completion of an apprenticeship or trade test
  • Appropriate level of training to perform cooking duties
  • A working understanding of HACCP and its application to the workplace
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent customer service skills
