In October, 2024, we hosted the Tuning into Leadership in Psychosocial Risk Management panel discussion in Brisbane.

The session explored the critical importance of identifying, assessing, and mitigating psychosocial risks—those psychological and social factors that can impact employees' mental health and well-being. 

Professor Alan Patching, Faculty of Society and Design, lead the discussion and covered key topics such as the role of leadership in fostering a positive workplace culture, effective communication strategies, and the integration of mental health support systems. Alan was joined by the following panel members:

  • Jacqui Milson- Head of Howden Care
  • Judy Wood- Director (Strategic Human Resources) at Department of Transport and Main Roads
