Description
This capstone subject requires students to undertake a practicum experience within an exercise or sports work environment. Students will demonstrate the integration and application of evidence-based exercise and sports performance knowledge and skills from two advanced Exercise and Sports Science subjects. They will assist clients in achieving their exercise or sports performance goals progressively. They will also demonstrate effective communication skills reflective of a professional working in exercise and sports performance.

Learning outcomes
- Identify and implement strategies to assist clients to meet their goals through the integration and application of the exercise and sport performance curriculum.
- Apply effective verbal and nonverbal communication skills within a work context.
- Explain the scope of practice for an exercise and sports professional.
- Apply the elements of risk associated with the professional practice of exercise and sport performance and the strategies used to minimise this risk.
