Description

Law Internship subject is an undergraduate elective subject offered by the Faculty of Law. This subject is intended to provide students with practical opportunities to recognize and apply theoretical legal knowledge to practical legal problems in the real world via an internship undertaken in a professional legal environment. This will allow students to integrate their theoretical and conceptual knowledge with the legal skills and problem-solving techniques required in the workplace. This subject provides students with the ability to ultimately make an informed transition between their university studies and what is required of them to work as legal professionals.

Learning outcomes

Assumed knowledge:

Assumed knowledge is the minimum level of knowledge of a subject area that students are assumed to have acquired through previous study. It is the responsibility of students to ensure they meet the assumed knowledge expectations of the subject. Students who do not possess this prior knowledge are strongly recommended against enrolling and do so at their own risk. No concessions will be made for students’ lack of prior knowledge.

Students are expected to have completed at least 120 credit points of LAWS subjects.| Faculty approval is required. | Students must be admitted into an approved Bachelor Law degree OR Bachelor of Laws combined degree.

This subject is not available as a general elective. To be eligible for enrolment, the subject must be specified in the students’ program structure.
