Description
Bookkeeping and Trust Accounts is a compulsory subject in the Bachelor of Laws program offered by the Faculty of Law. This 5 credit point subject examines the statutory rules applicable to the operation of trust accounts in a legal practice. Students will receive practical training in basic bookkeeping for responsible legal practice.

Learning outcomes
- Demonstrate an understanding of the statutory and ethical standards in relation to handling trust moneys and operating a law practice trust account in conformity with the legislation and ethical standards that apply to the legal profession in Queensland.
- Apply the statutory and ethical standards and to be able to communicate effectively an understanding of those legislative and ethical requirements.
