Description
This subject immerses you in television and video journalism through hands-on experience in both field and studio environments. In the field, you will learn to plan, film, edit and produce original news and feature packages for TV and video audiences, applying core journalistic principles and visual storytelling techniques. Then, in state-of-the-art studio facilities, you will work in front of and behind the camera to experience the roles of reporter, presenter, executive producer, editor and camera and control room operations. Emphasis is placed on: integrating ethical and legal standards; tailoring content for diverse audiences; creatively adapting to the formats, platforms and workflows of professional television journalism; and creating meaningful, original TV and video content that can be published across platforms.
